Primal Hot Cereal Recipe via the Primal Blueprint

I don't know about you, but there's something about chilly mornings that leave me craving a bowl of creamy cereal.
Would you believe that this version contains no grains and tastes even better than your traditional old fashioned bowl of oatmeal?
This recipe uses the combination of almonds and pecans but you can experiment with your favourite nuts.
With all the protein and healthy fats, this is sure to fill you up fast and leave you satisfied and happy to the core.
What you'll need:
  • 1/2 cup of almonds, whole or slivered
  • 1/2 cup of pecans
  • 1/2 a banana
  • 1/4 of a tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 of a tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup of unsweetened almond or coconut milk, plus more to taste
  • 1 egg (optional)
Let's get cooking:
Pulse all ingredients in a food processor or blender until desired consistency is reached.
Depending on your preference, the hot cereal can be smooth and creamy or chunky.
Warm the cereal in the microwave or on the stove until hot.
Add your favorite fresh berries and more almond or coconut milk to taste.
