The Ultimate DIY 'Pamper Pack' for Mum's this Mother's Day.

We totally get that not all you fabulous mumma's have the luxury of getting out and getting pampered like you know you deserve! Especially on Mother's Day! After all - You gave us life. You guide us. You support us and you always tell us to eat our veggies (because we should). 
Sometimes getting spoiled - is spoiling yourself. You know? 5 mins of silence and time to think about you and what you need...
So we've teamed up with Luana Marchi from Luana Marchi's Healthy Food and  decided to create a little pamper pack just for you. So put the husband on kid duty, and treat yourself to some DIY indulgence.
Let's start from the top...
The kids are fed and clothed. You've got 30 mins. Ok. Let's go!
While the tub is filling start preparing your 'Papaya Face Mask' created by Luana Marchi.
This anti-oxidant rich fruit has a host of health benefits. It aids digestion and acts as an anti-inflammatory. Perfect right?
Let's remove those dead skin cells and revitalise your face with this delicious 'Papaya and Oats Mask'.
Papaya contains the natural enzyme papain which is believed to remove dead cells from the skin and exfoliate in a gentle and natural way. 
It can also remove blemishes, dark spots and even out your skin tone, giving you back that glow you can't remember having last;)
Oats are slightly rough and they tend to act as super exfoliants. Oats help to deeply moisturise the skin and help fight against premature aging. Yessss!
They soothe mild burns. They also ease any type of dryness and itchiness.
What you'll need:
1/2 cup of Papaya fruit
1 tbsp of oats ( Gluten Free if possible )
How to make:
It's simple. Just mash the papaya fruit in a bowl, add the oats and mix well. Rub it all over your face and neck and kick back and soak up the warmth and silence.
Remove after 20 - 30 mins. Or when the bath has gone cold.
Moving on down...
So now you're glowing from head to toe, but those papaya and oat crumbs that fell in your mouth just aren't going to cut it. So we've added a healthy, decadent breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or desert recipe created by Luana that is going to make your mouth water.
Because it's Mother's Day and you can eat it when ever you feel like it.
Introducing 
The 'Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp'
Ingredients:
2 cups of rhubarb, diced
2 cups of strawberries, diced
1 tsp lemon zest
1 tbsp lemon juice
5 tbsp maple syrup 
1/4 tsp him. salt
2 tbsp tapioca flour
For the crumble:
2 cups of pecans, chopped
1 cup of almond flour
Pinch of cinnamon
1/2 cup of shredded coconut
1/3 - 1/2 cup of coconut sugar
2/3 cup of coconut oil, melted
Instructions:
Ok. Let's do this...
  • Preheat oven to 180C.
  • Lightly grease an oven proof dish with coconut oil. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl combine the rhubarb, strawberries, lemon zest, lemon juice, maple syrup, salt and tapioca flour. 
  • Stir to combine and pour into the prepared oven proof dish.
  • Chop pecans and transfer to a medium sized bowl. Combine almond flour, coconut and coconut sugar and toss with melted coconut oil until mixture begins to stick together and is crumbly.
  • Pour the crumble on top of the berries and rhubarb mixture.
  • Oven bake until fruit is bubbling and crumble topping is lightly golden.
  • Remove and let cool before serving.
  • Why not serve this with your favourite yogurt and or coconut cream.
